Aeronavics / Droidworx XM-X4 BUILD, Got a couple questions

Hello All,

Im looking to build a xm-x4 with retracts but cant find any conclusive info the MN4012-13 motors. The ship is mostly going to lift a cx760 and im hoping to get about 10minutes. I would also like it to have enough power to lift a 5D for at least 4-5minutes..

I have a couple Y6's with 2820-14 13x6.5 and i can get about 5-7minutes with 10000mah 4S, carrying a cx760 and about 3-4min carrying a 5D.

Are there any threads that have an xm-x4 with the newer style pancake motors that can carry a 5d but mostly a cx760.

Thank you
Bill

If this is any use I have those motors on a skyjib 6 hex and with 15x5.5 t motor props, 2 x 8300mah 6s lipo's carrying a Z15 and nex5r I'm getting 10+ minutes with 38% left in the batteries

Aye Up Bill what FC are you going to use?

If its WKM I would hold off on the slow rev stuff untill you see footage from one. Yes they are more efficient but in my experoence the WKM like the spinning fast, look what they have done with the new S800 thing, higher KV smaller props.

The difference between a CX760 and a 5D in weight is a fare chunk probilbly another kilo. Again I am not convinced a machine optimised for CX760 can be much use when it comes to lifting a 5D. I am looking in to it right now and Eyeball has one built and is experimenting with props, batteries and weights.

My old style ADX3 is my workhorse, it will fly quite happily for 8 mins on 2x5000 but I have just tried a new make of pack lighter and 5200 at its giving me an extra 2 mins with the CX730, her max out is a Canon 550D with 10/24 weighing in at about 1kg.

I would do some homework and really decide what you want her for, if your Y6 machines are carrying the CX760 ok then just bukd one for the 5D like my SJLX4 which will carry 2kg with ease for 10 mins
