X8R and Naza problem

Hey guys, having a bit of an issue getting my x8r and naza to work together.

So I am building a T810, have everything together. if I put the esc directly into the throttle channel of my x8r i can calibrate the motors and they work perfectly. Great, calibrated all my motors one by one no issues!

Next step I connected all my escs to the Naza motor inputs. Then I have my PMU going to X3 and my SBUS to X2 and into the sbus on my X8r (being the only cable going into my x8r). When I turn everything on, i get a single solid beep from all the motors and no fancy DJI noise initiation (like I get on my phantom).

I can connect to the naza assistant, all my controls work, I calibrated the tx through the controller itself as well as the assistant software and everything seems to be fine. I can even go the motor tests and they all spin properly. So as far as I am aware, everything kind of works? I get the yellow light in failsafe and when I switch to GPS mode the led seems to establish GPS connection when I put throttle sticks in the center (blinking green light).

I just can't get my motors to arm! is there a special way of initiation them I dont know of? And why dont i get the dji noise? any help? thanks

anyone have any pointers? i dont know what left to try... according to this http://www.falconsekido.com/collections/xrotor-user-manual
  1. The motor will emit a long “beep----“1 second after the system is connected to the battery indicating the ESC is armed and the multi-rotor is ready to go.
but i dont get the naza sounds .. and motors wont arm

edit: in case this gets googled. in naza assistant up on joystick should go to right. i had to reverse my elev. shes workin!
