Wooden lightweight crash resistant frame

Hi guys

Just redesigned my wooden frame as the first version broke an arm. This one is cnc cut from plywood, 310mm diagonal and weighs 144g, designed for 8 inch props.

As the majority of structural strength of plate material is dependent upon each surface tension and compression strength and there is no strength advantage coming for the center of the plate, it is nowcommon practice for companies such as Dragonplate to sell fiberglass and/or carbon fiber reinforced plywood. The plywood is the internally sandwiched material while the cf of fiberglass is applied to top and bottom using epoxy resins and vacuum bagging process. I make my own with fiberglass fabric but rarely with Carbon fiber since CF impedes radio waves and is conductive.
