What's wrong with my x101?

Hi. I own a MJx x101. It used to work fine but then it started dropping out of midair. It reconnects right after, but it was too late. I fixed it but it still drops! Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks.

how much time is on it? are the motors making any noise?

most of the small ready-to-fly quadcopters have brushed motors, motors that use brushes to transfer electricity to the armature and which use the brushes to provide timing to keep the motors turning. Those brushes wear out after not very much time and the motor performance will decrease until there's barely enough power to lift the weight of the helicopter.

when it drops out of the air does it appear to be trying to stay flying or does it just stop turning and crash?

The motors did make some noise, but stopped now. The drone for a couple seconds, two minutes at most, flies and then just suddenly drops. After two seconds, it reconnects. What would happen if the motors were busted? Thanks

has water gotten in it? maybe a circuit got fried a little.
