Can anyone recommend some video editing software. This would just be something simple for home use if there is such as thing.

Rich, I swear by Sony Vegas It's very cheap (starting at £60), is easy to use and has loads of features. Download the free trial (fully functional for 30 days I think) and give it a blast.
