Although I'm not a pro APV guy, I have followed along with enthusiasm as some of our own members have paved the way for others and succeeded in taking this hobby to the next level.

I found this article interesting, since it seems there can be some pitfalls along the path to obtaining the legitimate right to use our craft (and video gear) in the sky commercially.

This article needs a correction if you plan to go for sport pilot. You are NOT required to get a 3rd class medical at all for anything at the SP level, student cert included.

Also if your focus is to get a pilot cert for part 333 operations then why not simply go for sport pilot and save yourself time and money. IF you decide you want the additional privileges of private pilot then you can go further with that.
