Thermal cameras on copters - info needed

To those who have used thermal cameras (IR)... which camera did you use and how did you mount it? And what do you get from it (stills/video)?

I have been looking at a number of systems. It would seem that if I used a handheld FLIR type of cam, it might be best to remove it from the handheld case and use it naked to be lighter... but I dunno... anyone? Also, the battery issue... to use the stock battery that runs the IR cam or some other solution?

Thanks.
