Originally purchased/built to put a GoPro in the air, this Tarot 680 Pro hexacopter build could easily be upgraded to fly a lighter DSLR camera. This is an incomplete project build intended for someone who knows what they are assembling.
It includes the following (I've included current prices of each item - please research these to validate):
1 x Tarot FY680 Pro Hexacopter Frame Set ($179)
7 x 12" RC Timer Carbon Fiber Propellers ($30)
1 x NAZA-M V2 (including GPS) ($299)
1 x IOSD mini ($69)
1 x IOS 2.4G Bluetooth Datalink + 16 waypoint free ($199)
1 x CAN HUB Module ($69)
1 x Mountable Camera Stabilizer for GoPro Camera ($79)
2 x Turnigy Nanotech 4S 5000mah Batteries ($63/each - $126)
1 x Lipo-Safe Battery Storage Bag ($10)
1 x Turnigy 4x6 Battery Charger (charges four batteries at once) ($68)
1 x Spektrum DX7s 2.4GHz DSMX 7Ch Transmitter w/ AR8000 Receiver ($299)
1 x ATG Carbon Fiber Battery Plate Board+10mm Hook Mount Kit For Quad HexaCopter ($9)
1 x Extra Hexacopter PDB from 3D Robotics (never used since PCB is included in frame) ($20)
3 x Extra TL68B22 FY680 3K Lines Matt Pure Carbon Rod (Tarot-Parts-TL68B22) ($14)
2 x Extra TL68B16 Landing Skids T-Joint (Tarot-Parts-TL68B16) ($10)
All original boxes and extra pieces/cables, including Turnigy wire ($25) will be included as well. I will also be sure to include all online documentation that I found for the gimbal and other components.
As you can see by the photos (attached PDF), the hexacopter has been assembled, minus the gimbal, iOSD Mini and Bluetooth. These items have only been taken out of their boxes once and never mounted. The ESCs I purchased from overseas turned out to be bad, so two of the ESCs and motors blew while the others continued to run fine. This build has never flown. I'm including the remaining ESCs (untrustworthy) and Tarot 4006 620KV motors ($40/each) for free since they have already been assembled. This has been my first and only multi-rotor project, so everything you see is basically new. In all (including motors/etc), this project cost me $1850+ in individual parts, wire, etc. If you add up the above items with current prices, it comes to $1480.
If you're looking for a great project build, this one comes with basically everything you need except six ESCs and motors. Choose those for your particular lift requirements. Only one battery was charged for the initial test and it was discharged to half for storage using the Turnigy Charger (the first/only time it was used). All items here have been extremely well taken care of.
As mentioned above, this hexacopter has never flown (so it has never crashed) and everything is basically new. Every item was purchased for this single first-timer project only. All that is needed are 6 motors and ESCs to complete this build. The four remaining working motors on the hexacopter are still good and can be used to start a quad project. Please verify the prices above to see what a deal this is. You won't find any other Tarot 680 bundle (anywhere) with everything included here. I will include a home-made power supply for the battery charger free if the buyer needs it.
Let me know if you need to see additional photos of the individual items in order to feel comfortable before buying. If you have any reservation, please send questions.
I'm asking $1250 for everything here and I'll pay to have it shipped within the US. Anyone in this forum will know that there's definitely $1480 worth of gear here so please don't send unrealistic low-ball offers. Thanks - Jim
