Very simply, T-Motor rates their MN3110 470kv motor as 460g thrust @50% throttle using TM 15x5 props and 4s power. If I chose these motors, TM's specs tell me I should stay around 2kg AUW to be ~50% throttle @hover with that configuration.
Yet eCalc estimates are completely disconnected from TM's data .
When I built my test quad, since I'd already used KDE 2814XF-515 motors on a Y6, their thrust ratings are 650g @50% throttle using 14x4.8 TM props on 4s. It was pretty easy without eCalc and worked out well. The quad weighs 2679g and hovers <50%(log).
