While I like the simplicity, i dont like the quite large lateral movement it allows.
I dont think the removing of strands is a viable solution in The field. Having multiple isolator-sets with different strand-counts and lengths is probably the way to go.

The S-shaped wire scheme (shown in the first pic in the first page of this thread) allows less lateral movement. Crossing the wires and clamp them together at the cross will make it even more stiff in lateral directions.

Has anyone tried one of these yet? Feedback and video would be nice. VERY interested in this for my Quadframe V2 gimbal but want some more evidence.

I have not but he makes a larger one for attaching a Movi to an auto and I may snag one of those.
