SkyZone FPV setup not working - help pease!

I bought this transmitter:

To use with the skyzone goggles and GoPro3. I have a few cables but can't figure out how it's supposed to be wired. The diagram on the packaging shows 3 inputs, but there are 5 inputs on the transmitter. I've tried all cables in various configurations but all I get is a black screen. When I power off the transmitter the screen goes from black to static, so it seems the transmitter is doing something, but i can't see any signal from the GoPro. Could it be a faulty transmitter? Am I missing something obvious? I have tried all channel configurations.

What GoPro, I don't seen any GoPro cables there?

The top and bottom cables are purchased gopro cables with USB connectors. The middle cable was supplied with the transmitter.

This is the configuration I think should work - yellow and black cables in pins 1&3 from the right:

But all I get on the receiver is a black screen.

I don't know if it's what's causing you the problems, but that link says the vtx is for goggles that are 640x480. The Skyzones are 854x480. This other transmitter doesn't say that & it comes with it's own GoPro cable. It might simplify your wiring confusion.
