S-Bus or Traditional?

I purchased an F450 used and the previous owner appears to have connected the Futaba RX (R2008SB) using the "traditional" method instead of S-Bus. Is there an advantage to this? Should I change it to S-Bus? Does it matter?

Lastly, is it the same type of cable/connector as the traditional? Can I just use one of those?

EDIT: I have Naza V1 with GPS.

S-Bus only uses one wire as you know, every ounce matters in this game. Apart from that, I really don't think there is much more to it and yes it uses the same connectors you have now.
