Quick FPV question

Is it correct to assume it's better to use a fixed camera for the purpose of FPV piloting instead of a gimbal mounted camera? I assume if you used a gimbal mounted camera for piloting you would get a false sense of pitch of the airframe or at least a delayed view of the attitude. New to multi rotors however I plan on flying with a gimbal mounted GoPro to shoot video and assumed it may be better to have a fixed camera for piloting as well.

Please excuse the newbee question, Thanks

You are correct. Use a fixed cam for fpv. You worked it out for yourself but still checked... nothing wrong with that ;)
