Seems like a decent starter, I'm not familiar with those motors and 40 size motors seem large for that frame. I'm not familiar with Dynam radios here and Spektrum radios are just "okay". The DJI 450 frames are nice but the KK boards aren't fantastic because they typically don't auto-level your craft. Otherwise it looks nice...

Did they close it again? I just checked not too long ago and it was open. If that area isn't open anymore there is an area right next to it you can use. I fly where-ever I can and I love to fly on the beaches and go up and down the beach exploring etc.

Last I heard some kid died out there on a 4 wheeler and that's why they gated it off.. I haven't ridden out there in a few years..

Ever use yours over water? I plan on checking remote islands when out on the boat and worried I may crash it in the water.. lol

Oh, the gate has been open for some time again now. I haven't been in there in 2 months though, crashed and I just now finished rebuilding. The birds aren't as scared as you think they'd be. I had a few good dog fights with some buzzards. :)

That's funny.. Need to drop some flares... Or chicken wings from them to chase..

They don't give up and keep coming back, sometimes you get nervous they're going to take you out. I've been in probably 4-5 dog fights with big birds out of 60+ flights and your heart is pounding the whole time, it's super fun. I fly over water but when I do I'm usually in GPS mode and all safeties are on at that point, your heart is pounding then too lol. I don't fly over water until my MR is 110% and I have flown it several times over land and so on.
