Ok here's what I want to do. And I do appreciate any input!!!
Specifically, what I'm looking for are recommendations on motor, esc, prop, and battery for my new machine. I understand the math somewhat well, but would like to know of some more specifically proven combinations....
I want to build as small a craft as possible, quadcopter, the frame will be built from lightweight CF or aluminum, where space between propellers is minimal. I want a machine that is manageable in size, yet does not have any folding mechanisms (props, or frame, ect..)
I want to lift a Gopro with H3-3D gimbal. I will use Naza M V2, there will be a video transmitter, an iosd mini, and thats about all, maybe a few other bits and bobs.
Size wise, I'd like this build to fly 11 or 12" propellers. I will design to make the overall footprint of the craft pretty tight (1/2" - 1" between prop tips), as I'm trying to fit this machine in a case that is 10"x 28"x 16" padded case.
My preferred battery choice is 3S over 4S, as I feel there is more 3S info and has more proven combinations. I'd consider 6S, but would want batteries to cost under $100... I'd be interested in hearing about a combination that runs and of them if I can achieve 30 minute flight time.
15-20 minute flight time is my absolute minimum I want. I am anticipating a final craft (includes battery, camera, everything) to weigh in the neighborhood of 1500-2200 grams, but is just a rough guess. Perhaps there will be a motor esc combination that is way outside of that range. If it fits the rest of my criteria, I'd be totally cool with that.
If this craft can be built in such a way that it can fly a go pro + gimbal setup for 20-30 mins, and with minimal alterations can be outfitted to fly slightly heavier payloads even so much as for 5-10 minutes, I'd be very pleased.
Motor, ESC, Battery, and Prop Recommendations.
Like I said, I appreciate any input!
