Permission to fly in Egypt?!

Hello Peeps,

We have had a request to do a shoot in Egypt. Would anyone know if our BNUC would be recognised over there and also where to start in terms of getting permission to fly out there.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul

You will need a really good fixer on the ground. I was supposed to be going for the BBC but it all got a bit hairy so it was pulled. If it's in one of the resorts I would imagine the management will sort this for you but if it's just for general flying I would suggest the embassy would be a good place to start. You will probably need a carnet signed off by them. If it's anywhere near the valley of the kings or the pyramids you'll need a bloody shed load of cash and be escorted probably by armed police who will need nice packets of English fags to keep um sweat. Good luck and let us know how you go on..

BNUC and a really big insurance policy may help but it is not recognised there.. I think I paid about £500 quid on top of my policy for 8 days in Peru.
