one Motor slow to fire up

Hello all,
Brand new to the forum. I have a 950mm hexa that I've had for a couple of weeks now and its flown 5 times. Tiger motors, Maytag ESC's, Wookong - M. It flys great - really smooth and responsive; however, one of the motors takes a while to fire up. On the hexa, if it is oriented North, it is the Motor on the South Eastern arm. All other motors spin up immediately, but this motor takes a while. Even when I give some throttle it sticks - so much so that the other props are lifting and its still stationary. After it does start, usually after throttling up and down a few times, it seems fine. If anyone has any thoughts on what could be causing this, it would be greatly appreciated.

hi Alan, welcome to the forum. First thing I imagine you would've tried is swap the wicked motor of the south east with the good motor of the southwest and see if the problem followed. Next I would guess you checked a known good motor with the esc from the south east to see if your esc is slow. Then you probably checked all connectors going to the arm of the south east.
Did you build it?

Thank you for your responses. I did not build it, and everything is soldered and neatly tucked away so I wanted to check to see if this was a common problem before I started taking it apart. I will check the connections and begin some tests. Thanks again for your input.

I know it's a bit out of the blue what firmware are you using? I was speaking to a guy earlier who was running 5.18 and he crashed due to the firmware.. It was stopping and starting motors before take off, Just as an off chance roll back to 5.16 and see if you still have the same issue.. Unless you are on lower than 5.16 of course.. Wild shot but better to check everything..

Sounds like either the esc calibration, or a motor issue.

As suggested, swap the motor with another one and bench test it with the props removed. If it follows the motor, then that is your problem and you will need to replace it.

If it stays on that arm, chances are it's the esc.

I would not recommend flying it until it's resolved.
