Nikon D800 - a good choice for Cinestar filming?

Hi, any thoughts about the coming D800 from Nikon?

From what I understand it will be good for video but is quite heavy. I am using a Cinestar 8 and will use the 360 gimbal.

I am currently using the Sony NEX 5N and do expect big difference when moving to the D800. Probably getting a fixed lens to keep weight down.

Appreciate any advise or thoughts.

Great camera. I don't know the Cinestar but I gather it can lift a Red Epic, so a D800 (even with a heavy lens) should be trivial for it.

I think it will have no probs lifting. I have a D700 with a 11-18 lens.,and lifts with easy. The camera will be a little heaver.

Not as good as the 5DIII for video with internal codec, which you would have to use while flying it. Also the GH2 (with the hack) is far sharper then either of those 2 so very good for landscape type shooting.
