This will be long guys. Please bare with me.

Timeline:

November 29/2014. Ordered superx standard and osd from Xaircraft America. Never heard from XAA again and had to file a claim with visa. Recieved credit from visa December 22.

December 17/2014. Ordered superx standard and osd from XMhobbies/cncheli. (Jeff) received December 24/2014.

Upon testing I was getting a continuous red light. The FC was not recognizing sbus. Many back and forth emails with Jeff at cnc. We tested everything and Jeff was very good at getting back to me. Finally he said it was likely dead on arrival and to send it back and he would replace. I sent it back and paid $32 freight.

The following is cut and pasted from emails.

January 6th.
Jeff: "exchanged I/O and main controller for you."

Me "Did you verify the new ones work? Don't want to go thru this twice. "

Jeff: "yours sent back to factory, exchanged one is tested by factory"

Me: "Ok thanks. So the replacement is coming from China? Can you please send me a tracking number when it ships? Thanks." The reason I asked this was because he said he was replacing it from one tested in factory.

Jeff: "from US, later shipping sent"

January 14th I received package.

Me:
Hey Jeff.

I was really happy with your service so I was surprised when my package arrived today. You told me mine was sent back to China and you were giving me new ones. It arrived today and I was disappointed to find that it was the same one. Yes, I put a identifying mark on it. It is the same one I sent you. I'm very disappointed you lied to me. If it worked I wouldn't be so frustrated but it doesn't. I am sending it back and you can either credit me or I will file a claim with paypal"

Jeff: " i can take pic for yours now for you if you do not believe.
we exchange main control and I/O for you . did you test ?
we exchanged main control and I/O control .
GPS etc others is the same as yours"

I sent Jeff a picture of the FC with adhesive on the back of it and asked if the new ones come with old adhesive. Lol. Now he's back peddling. Denying that he just reset the software and sent the original back and aiming he sent me a used one because the one I returned was used. In fact it was never used because it never worked. It was mounted to the aircraft with 3m tape.

Jeff: "we exchanged work one for you , because yours used, so we exhcnaged worked one for you , that is tested by US item".

So the conversation ended there. I put the package back in the bag. Took to post office and told them to return to sender. I then filed a paypal claim.
Here's where it gets interesting.

January 21st.
Email from Paypal"After carefully reviewing your case, we've determined that you'll be
eligible for a refund (including handling and shipping) once you've
returned the merchandise to the seller.
Once you have returned the merchandise, you will be covered under PayPal
Buyer Protection and eligible to receive a full refund"

I didn't want to spend another $32 for shipping so I returned to sender. Because of this I didn't have a shipping receipt and the tracking information was not updated online.
On January 29th I contacted USPS via phone and they emailed me this proof of delivery:

Jeff signed for it January 23rd.

He has told paypal that he did not get the package back and for whatever reason paypal will not accept this document as proof of delivery.

So I get the following message from Paypal today:

We've completed our review and unfortunately are not able to decide this case in your favor.

During our review, we found that your seller had sufficiently described the merchandise.

I called them and they said I need a shipping ticked saying I sent it back. They have opened an appeal and I am now going to proceed with a credit card claim.

I very seldom air my dirty laundry in public and always try to look at these situations from both sides and be fair but I am out $800 and product. This guy is extremely dishonest IMO.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
so long as it's factual then the post can stay and in your case it appears you've posted just the facts.

we want the site to help the best shops and manufacturers to get the activity that they deserve so stuff like this contributes to that process.

sorry to hear you're still having trouble, would just like to point out that this isn't XAircraft specific as much as it is the shops you've had the misfortune to buy from.

good luck getting it all straightened out.

Bart. I don't blame xaircraft but I think it's fair to say the way their dealers treat people ultimately reflects on them. Good or bad.

i agree it's frustrating that certain chinese manufacturers can't get past whatever impediments there are that prevent them from being more widely available....ZeroUAV is a perfect example. Site Admin @SleepyC loves ZeroUAV but when we speak to them about helping to promote their products they make the same mistakes that so many before them have.
it's all very confusing so all we can do is allow these types of discussions to occur so that the good can be separated from the bad.

Regarding XAircraft, there are reputable dealers that sell XAircraft hardware, we just need to keep getting attention to the good ones.

Hey @Pumpkinguy. Been following your posts (and those of a few others) WRT SuperX and you all have convinced me not to try this hardware. You sir, with your patience and perseverance are a better man (or at least better MR builder) than I.:)

I am so sorry to hear about your troubles. I get violent thoughts just reading about it.

It's ashamed to here this. Being I purchased my SuperX a year ago from Jeff, and have logged more then 60 hours on it, with no issues what so ever. I can say I won't be doing anymore business with him until he responds and straightens this out with pumpkin. That's just not right!

@Gary: You don't know what your missing, SuperX is amazing FC. Just take a look at Kloner's and Sleepy's rigs. :)

Gary, I specifically stated that this isn't a reflection on the SuperX system, read the threads and you'll see there are plenty of very satisfied customers. DJI had its share of dodgy dealers over the years so it's not too surprising that XAircraft has a few of their own.

Why we're here though is to help the good ones rise to the top. www.buddyRC.com is a very reputable shop in the US so I'd expect you guys to get good results buying XAircraft hardware from them. www.addictiveRC.com is another.

Gentleman.

For the record I think superx is an awesome FC. I've talked to lots of guys that absolutely love it.
I was just unlucky. The problems I had were rare. I was only able to find one other case on Google with the exact symptoms as mine.

I want to mention the dealer FPVONE. He is a forum member here and although I never bought my unit from him, he spent countless private messages with me trying to solve my problems. I think that says a lot about him. Helping me like he did with no skin in the game.
