Hello from Denver! I would really like to get into a quad platform for AV/FPV/AP. I currently fly a Trex 600esp...just flying, no photography/video. Any suggestions on the right quad to use would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking hard at the XAircraft 650 v4 & v8. I also see that a lot of these need firmware upgrades...can these upgrades be performed with a Mac computer?

Hey MHB... welcome to the board! You should be able to find all kinds of info here to help you pick the right model. It does seem though that most of the software runs on the PC side of things. Some work on Mac, but it's the exception. I'm a mac guys myself so I feel the pain. Personally, I just keep a copy of windows installed on something like Parallels or Boot Camp. At least that way you have the option.
