Hello,
I have recently gotten interested in multirotor flight after watching some youtube videos and would like to learn more. I'd like to buy and/or build a relatively inexpensive system to learn on. Eventually, I'd like to get into FPV flight, but I've read that it's best to learn to fly before adding FPV to the mix.
So, I'm doing a lot of reading and trying to figure out what will be a good system to learn on that won't dent my pocketbook too badly.
Models I've heard good things about (well... not bad things anyway
and am considering are the Syma X1 4 Channel 2.4G RC Quad Copter ($34 from amazon) and something called the DJI WKM (don't know much about that one yet -- hmm... just found some DJI products at amazon. They look quite a bit more pricey).
Are smaller devices more difficult to fly than larger ones?
Am I being too much of a miser? Should I expect to spend several hundred dollars to get started?
Thanks for the forum and for all the experienced pilots who hang out here and share their wisdom. Much appreciated.
Tom
