Edit: I appears from further reading that most any 28mm motor will fit, so I guess the issue I have is with an ESC that will fit in the arms.
So I ordered a Gaui 500X frame mostly because it was pretty inexpensive at $25 and because I like the slightly cleaner design of the motor housing. It dawned on me though that the motors and escs I have to put in it are likely not going to fit. I'm looking at 2217 iPowers or something equivalent that will fit and is available in the US. HK has the NTM but I think the 28-30 ones may be two wide at 28mm outer dimensions. I'm not sure how wide the motor opening is.
The other issue I realized is that those Gaui ESCs that so nicely fit in the arms are all tricked out and custom too. So I guess I'm looking for recommendations on ESC and Motors from you guys that have changed what you're using in these frames.
