JR11X Failsafe switch

Hi

We had an unexpected test of the failsafe feature on our AD8 HLE the other day. There was a problem with the lead that connects my jr11x to the EZuhf unit and it lost signal mid flight. I'd been terrified of testing the failsafe for some reason, but it worked nicely...still, it was horrible seeing our copter suddenly ascend to 20m without any control input for the first time, I thought it was doing a runner.

She gained full gps lock whilst in the air (mistake) and so her saved "home" location was a little off i think. Lesson learned. She landed about 20 feet from where she took off and managed to cut an octocopter shaped hole in the tree canopy above where she landed. It was close, but she got down and landed gracefully with nothing but a cracked prop or two.

After seeing how well the failsafe performs i'd like to use it more.
I'm flying using a JR11X and currently have the usual GPS/ATTI/MANUAL on my three way switch. Is it ok to swap out manual for failsafe, so that my three way switch selects between GPS/ATTI/FAILSAFE? or should I mix in a second two way switch? If its better to do it this way can anybody enlighten me as to the procedure for adding the 2 way mixer on the JR?

Cheers
