Hello there,
I just found out about this forum and thought I'd sign up.
I've started with RC planes around 2005 to do aerial photography.
Went with a EasyStar. Added a 2.4GHz video downlink and a HMD. Had a bad crash due to a bad lipo and stopped for a while.
I then got myself a GWS Slow Stick with a brushless motor. Never did do much with it.
I've been interested in building a quadrocopter since a long time, however I thought it was too much work and too expensive back then.
Now that I had a closer look once more, I'm seeing some great stuff that makes it easier and cheaper than ever. I'm especially impressed by those Crius MWC SE boards for less than 50€ that have tons of sensors already included combined with powerful software and the ability to add GPS, sonar and a gimbal later on.
I'll make another thread about the quadrocopter I am planning.
