Ideal charge voltage for transmitter battery...

I've just built and flown my first quad, an F450 with a Naza Lite. My transmitter is a Turnigy 9xr, and I'm using the Turnigy 3S 2200mah lipo that hobbyking sells specifically for the transmitter. I've read quite a bit about lipo charging and how they like to be stored with a 40-50% charge. My question is, when it comes specifically to the transmitter battery, since the transmitter is a low-draw device, should I just always charge the transmitter to about halfway rather than to a full charge? That way between flying it'll at least be close to the ideal storage voltage, and I won't have to constantly discharge the battery after flying, just to re-charge it to full before my next session. Hope this makes sense, thanks.
