Hi there, I am a long time retiree, and life long modeler and fairly new RC'r. I live in Missouri where I fly a lot of FPV with both quads and planes. I bought a quad a year ago and really couldn't figure it out. After several crashes I put it up on the shelf. This summer just before a 2 week trip out west I purchased a Phantom. The trip turned into a quad/FPV trip. I posted several videos every day from sights like Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, the Tetons and many other places. Just look up my smiling face (**** Gibson) on You Tube. Since them I have added the Naza M Lite to the quad I couldn't fly and it was transformed. I am in the process of tuning a HK Dead Cat frame with the Naza M. It flies great but I am having troubles with the motor start up??
I love the quads because of the ease of transport and the fact I do not have to carry a ground station. Also you can fly just about anywhere. We spend the winter in Mexico, so I am trying to figure out if I can take my Phantom with me on the plane??
Well that is a thumbnail of me. I pretty much make my daily life a RC Adventure, everyday.
