The 450 does not have a lot of room yet alone enough for adding FPV equipment. I thought I'd share how I added extra room to my F450. The last time I crashed (several months ago), I knew I was going to get into FPV. I had already added the top deck using standoffs from Newark Electronics (http://www.newark.com/raf-electroni...-al/spacer-standoff-hex-al-4-5mm-x/dp/27T8047), but needed to move equipment around to make room for the future additions.
The first thing I did was to clean up the wiring, minimizing the amount of extra wire, and running multiple wires in braid. (Pics 1 & 2)
The next step was to move the VU, receiver to the middle deck. The Naza was already there. One of the advantages of setting up the FC this way is it allows you to put the FC directly in the middle of the quad, right at the center of gravity. (Pic3)
As you can see the bottom deck has been cleaned out allowing for the addition of the FPV equipment. (Pic 4 & 5)
The final setup is shown in Pic 6 & 7.
As a side note, the GoPro is mounted using a Sorbothane sandwich. Sorbothane on the top and bottom of the bottom deck, with G10 on the top and bottom. The screws are there as a failsafe, nuts are held in place with Locktite red and not tightened down. The Sorbothane is very sticky, however I want the insurance with the screws and nuts. This mount works very for Jello free videos.
