I've been on here for two days now and I'm really impressed with the help I've received so far. Thanks everyone.
I've just started to use the DJI F550 with Naza + GPS. Prior to this I've been using a Hoverthings VC 550 Quad running on the Open Pilot CC board.
The CC board was quite the journey; in my first attempt I tried using Castle Creations ESCs mounted on a wood frame. BAD IDEA. Castle Creations before the firmware update were the worst choice for multirotors. So I switched to Cobra ESCs and Motors and things got much better but not great has I didn't know how to balance motors or props.
Now, I have a home made prop balance using a compact mirror and a laser pointer and modified prop balancer, part "Power Point Prop balancer" and Part "Great Planes Prop balancer". I used these to balance my DJI motors and props and the F550 is vibration free.
