After deciding to build my own quad instead of a XA kit I find myself with a lot of questions. If you can, please help with the following.
I am buying 4 motors with a shaft diameter of 3.17mm (axi 2208/34) but some sites list it as 3.2mm - I guess that you can use 3.2mm as it will be close enough?
I need a prop adapter that fits 3.2mm with a collet to fasten it to the shaft. The prop then has a corresponding sized hole to fit the adapter. If not, there seem to be spacers to make them fit. Tightening down the nut will hold the prop fast and also tighten the collet at the same time - yes?
Props need to be listed as 'slow-fly' to work. If I am looking for 8x4.5 (recommended by frame designer), would a size nearby work too? For instance 8x5 or 8x3.8 would be OK?
I thought it would be more plug and play, but there are a lot of little things to work with. Fun to learn it all. Thanks for all your help.
