Hey,
I'm an economist during the day and developer at night XD. Mostly working on isomorphic application with Node and React (JS). But python is capturing my heart more and more.

Nice. I'm a Director of IT during the day and occasionally program. VB and PHP mostly, but dabble with Python, TSQL and C#. Just curious, you mention getting involved in the software side of drones. How do you see yourself writing code for the drone?

I'm starting now, I played a bit with the Parrot SDK and that's awesome. There is everything you need to understand and test the basic concepts, but it doesn't allow you to go deeper. that's why I want to wrap the MAVproxy in node and use more performant libraries for real time communications. The end goal would be to have a real time control ground station that actually works.
