Hello from Phoenix Arizona

I'm new to multi's, but I've learned allot in the last couple months thanks to google and everyone on the MultiRotosForums.
I'm surprised how helpful people have been here, because every hobby shop I visited was full of people who look at you like your dumb when you ask the wrong questions. LOL.

I fly a DJI F550 with the Naza Controller and GPS along with a Spektrum DX8. Anyone out there with this setup? I could use some help with a couple things.

Hey here Jim. Still a noob to this so I hope this makes sense. So I have been flying in Manual Mode since I built my F550 because I have not yet been able to get my GPS or Atti mode to work properly. I've set and reset my GPS, I have followed all instructions on the manual and Youtube, and still no luck. One thing I have noticed, is that my LED indicator only blinks green when in Atti Mode, GPS, GPS Calibration and fast green when in Fail-safe. I contacted DJI and they didn't provided much help to troubleshoot. Would the LED indicator cause a the GPS and Atti mode not to work? DJI told me that the LED combines Green and Red to make yellow. I dont think my red LED indicator works becuase when I start up my Flamewheel, I no longer see red flash. I do believe it goes into GPS Calibration when I attempt to calibrate because the LED indicator lights up and stays green instead of yellow because there is no red to combine. It stays green until I complete the calibration process. As well as when I try to fly in Atti mode the LED blinks green instead of yellow. But when I try Atti Mode or GPS, it elevates really high until I go back to Manual mode and bring it down. Any ideas?

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm no expert at the NAZA.

When you set up the NAZA with it hooked to a PC, did the on-screen indicators show that you were switching modes? (only hook to PC with props removed)

When I fire up my DJI 550, in full GPS mode, I always get green but some red blinks until it finds enough satellites for the GPS. Then it blinks green only. (I never take off until no red blinks are visible.)

Consider pulling out and reconnecting the GPS wire where it plugs into the NAZA.

BTW, this (new member) section of the forum is likely not the best place to get answers about NAZA. There is a DJI-NAZA section on this site. Maybe you could cut and paste you question into the DJI-NAZA section for more responses from those more knowledgeable than me.

No worries. When I hook up to the Naza assistant software, I do see the indicator switching from Manual, Atti and GPS as well as failsafe. I tried taking off the gps and reinstalling it, as well as other troubleshooting methods but no luck. I wonder if the LED indicator is causing this problem, because the red light no longer works.

I will post this on the NAZA section and see if I get any bites. Thanks for the heads up Jim.
