Hello all. I am here, well, because I am new and I know at some point I will need advice from all the seasoned veterans who have already crashed and burned once or twice and now have valuable lessons for us all. I have some RC car and a little electronics(arduino, raspberry pi) experience. I have been wanting a quad for sometime now, couple years, but the price to jump right in has kept me back. After my brother won a DJI off YouTube and I got to fly it, I am now obsessed with getting into it. But I don't want to buy RTF. I don't want to start off with GPS, I want to build, crash, and learn. I can't wait to read and learn, and hopefully have some useful knowledge someone else can use. If there is anyone between Pittsburgh and State College Pennsylvania let me know, Its good to have someone nearby for group builds and bulk buys.
