Hello All I need a bit of advise can you help

Hi all
I am new here and was wondering if anyone could advise on how to make my own power distribution board. I am getting my first AD6 HL, from Geoff at Quadcopters UK tomorrow!!


The setup will be:


AD6-HL Frame Droidworx V3
6 x Torxpower 3536 Pro Motors
6 x Hobbwing 40a Esc
6 x 12x3.8 Props Apc
1 x AV130 Camera Gimble
1 x AV130 360 Pan Kit
1 x DJI Wookong M inc Gps


Geoff told me it would best to make my own distribution board, I am good with a soldering iron but I really need a diagram! Can any of you guys help???


One more bit of info, it will be carrying a 550d DSLR

Hi Dom , Gunter as made his own Distribution setup and on a lovely frame all CNC from scratch , Maybe he has some build pics .
I will add a pic below of the sort of ring you can make up which we used on a Cinestar build.
Hope they help give you some ideas.

Hi Dom,

I made mine from blank PCB (bought from Maplins). I then used a compass to mark out 2 circles & chipped away with a scalpel the gap between inner & outer rings.

My 8 motors draw 328A when flat out & not had any problems with my blank PCB. The wire from mlipo to power board is 10SWG & from power board to ESC is 12SWG.

Dominic, as Geoff said, I made my own power ring under the frame. While I feel it works very well, I have just started rebuilding it using an Abusemark power board. After seeing Ken using something similar on his big build, it made sense, because of the neatness and also weight saving.

I can't find a picture of my old power distro ring, but here is a shot of what I am working on now, progress up until an hour ago!
