hi all,
Am a professional cinematographer/ steadicam operator in India, have been reading about rc stuff for 2 years now, whenever am not shooting. I had my first rc experience while we used fly-cam from U.S in our film and since that day I wish to fly my own rotor. I started with helicopters and shifted to multi rotors a year back. being in India has its disadvantages of no excess tomaterial which took me to a long and slow progress route.
my first build was a quad with hk kk board on aluminium rods with 800 kv motors and e max esc. I used fs sky 9 ch receiver with it. this system was a bit difficult for me to go through as i just could not find 10 pin to 6pin cable to connect it to the computer and with the default setting i ended upwith a non controllable yaw settings and i think I even reversed the pot by mistake and it was just too hard for me to set it right.
Then there was light, I have been reading a lot and a lot, I guess only access i have about multirotors is through net and it takes me time to read and understand stuff.
Made a trip to singapore, bought tiger motors, naza, wookongm, 450 and 550 frames, hk 40 amp esc with simok k,s code, futaba 8fg supe etc
I configured naza almost the same day and it flew very well and that was my first flight experience, landings were bit rough but it did not need much correction except yaw drifting a bit, that could be bcoz of not balanced prop and motor:
wokong M took almost 2 days on 550 frame with oversized tiger 2814/ 770 kv and undersized prop for this motor 10 4.5. will fly it tonight and see. will post pics and videos soon and hope to be of help to others and learn from the posts by many helping hands on forum
thanks all
