I'm currently very unhappy with the footage coming out of the GoPro 3+Black on a Phantom 2 with H3-3D, to the point I'm seriously thinking of dumping it and only flying my S900 + GH4. However, there are times when the Phantom would be really useful.
The H3-3D seems to be doing an admirable job of stabilising (though the horizon is often not perfect), it's an intra-frame problem I'm seeing, in the form of a 'shimmer' of only a small section of the frame, presumably caused by the rolling shutter.
I've also seen this in lots of other people's footage and when asked they seem to think it's 'normal' and 'acceptable', but for me it's not, it totally destroys the video.
I've tried the add-on ND filter but it's not really a fix, it still happens.
Just to be clear, I'm not talking about huge wobbles, I'm talking about maybe 5% or 10% shifting side to side within the frame, not entire frames warping.
So, has any one seen this from the GoPro 4? Has there been any real improvement here?
