It looks great but I have some serious concerns over the reduction and frequency of the IMU to capture all the data to correctly stabilise the footage. Not to mention getting the timing in sync between the footage and data. I can only see this being used in conjunction with image stabilisation to marry everything up.

It does work very well but i agree with Soler that there has to be some degradation of video to make it work. I dont know if you saw that video I posted on how the microsoft version works but they show how it interpolates frames and uses data to fill in certain areas. The first thought when I saw that was I wonder how much that degrades. I guess we will see. I think this will be the future though as higher res systems become mainstream we will be able to crop down to our desired res without needing to artificially add those black areas of the frame.
