Hi, Guys i was looking into building aFPV antenna ground tracking station. the FPV part of this hobby is new to me and i have no idea where to start. i was also wondering if i would use the tracking system antenna with my fat-shark teleports v4? I am using the immersion system.

Thanks for the Help

I found mounting the transmiter and farting around with differen't attenas you don't really need a tracking system height is your friend with a colver leaf attena and diversity if you want to put one with more range on it. I found doing that my hexacopter or even quad will run out of power before I can get it out of range in any direction. That's the clover leaf doing it.

If you were doing long range plane flights were you can really get out there then you might want to look at it but 20 minutes of flight time I can only reach about 2 km before I turn around due to flight time limits (I like landing early with extra power incase of wind) I've taken the transmiter a camera and everything stuck it in a car and kept on driving till it cuts out. Takes a while unless it goes through things (5.8)

You would want the tracking station to track the aircraft and not use your head tracking the reason is this if it follows the craft and not your head it will always be pointed the right way. So depending on what attennas you use I find simply facing the craft works best I plan on flying this way or that way setup and go. Changing in flight far out is a bad idea stick to the plan.
