Need Help! First Drone Build Help - Can't connect flight controller to PC

This is my first Drone build and frankly go at soldering electronics of any kind, i’ve been following the video below however when I tried to connect my flight controller to my PC with a USB, to work with Betaflight, I get no indication that it has connected, no sound on the PC and nothing showing up in Zadig.

I am completely new to this, so I have no idea how to analyse this, i’ve tried looking up how to install drivers and troubleshoot things on the PC end but I don’t know if i’m missing something, or if the flight controller itself is working or broken somehow, and if so whether or not there is anything I can do, as a newbie, to recover it.


All I can tell is when I plug the battery into the device energy is going to the transmitters, their LEDS are on, power is going to them, but I can’t see any LEDs built into the flight controller itself to show me it’s status. Alongside this the camera is working and video is being received by my display and the controller shows another battery icon on it’s display when the drone is plugged in.


If anyone could tell me how I may go about troubleshooting this, am I missing something on setup, or if this means the FC is broken, and if so how could I avoid it happening again, I would be very grateful.

Do exactly what he does in this video... should solve it. If not, you're in my boat
