Fail safe question

This has nothing to do with my previous crash post, I am looking for a little better explanation of how the failsafe function works on the WK-M. I programmed the fail safe option to a switch, so I could test it out and see what it does. I was flying my quad at about 6 feet, when I initiated it, it went into a hover for about 5 second then it climbed, not knowing what it was going to do I immediately switched out of the mode and took over the control again.

I did it again this time I was a little more patient, so it climbed up and level off around 30ft, I waited for about 10 seconds, however again not knowing what it may do I then took control over again.

I am thinking this maybe normal, but no sure and have not found much explanation about the procedure. So if anyone could let me know I would appreciate it.

After failsafe is initialised, it climbs to 20M, flys back to where it took off, waits 30 seconds and then auto lands. It sounds like yours is working, Just leave it a bit longer!

It's in the instruction manual.
