DX18 fpv mount needed

I've tried 2 different styles for my DX8, and my 7" Black Pearl monitor, and didn't like either one. One that connected to the neck strap hook was too flimsy, and one that clamps to the metal handle wouldn't allow any position that didn't interfere with the switches. Back to the tripod for me.:upset:

Based upon the photo the tray fits the DX18. Perhaps check www.espritmodels.com or other vendor and look at the Secraft tray and monitor mount. A bit pricey just to mount a monitor but the tray and hand rests work out quite nicely.

Secraft is the only option. Mounting the monitor is an arse. I've used Velcro for now as the actual bracket is impossible to source in the UK. It fixes to the monitor mount plate and then has a tripod screw in the base.

I've been using the Secraft for awhile with a Spectrum and Black Pearl. The Velcro method has functioned well with no hint of disastrous release, even after adding a 900mAh 3s battery to the back of the monitor using a little Velcro for extended use time. The only caution I would add is to use a thread lock compound on every screw as it is assembled, especially the monitor rack angle adjustment screws.

The mount would have to attach to the body of the transmitter, the handle on the DX18 is the second antenna so needs to be kept clear of any metal things.
this post is a little late to the party but there is now a pretty serious mount available for the DX18
