And, of course, I just bought a Vision + 2 days ago! The camera pitch control wheel would be awfully handy, hard to do smooth transitions on the iPhone (and it takes your hands off the controller)!

Doh! Agreed, it should have been setup the same as the Phantom 2 with gimbal from day one.. Sometimes hard to make hardware and software work 100%..

It is a new Tx and firmware not a whole new Phantom. You can buy the Tx for less than a $100 and the firmware will be free.
