DJI F450 NAZA Kit. 72mhz channel 5 issue

Hi all,

This is my first time posting to these forums. I just recently built a DJI F450 kit with NAZA and am using a Futaba 7CHP remote (72mhz) with a futaba 168DF rx. Originally all of the movement controls were fine, with some interference because I wrapped the antenna around the leg and coincidentally the ESC...(I know rookie mistake). Now I have rigged the antenna on a stand in the center of the quad and it flies darn near a mile away no problem. The issue I am having is that whenever I plug in channel 5 (which is the U channel on the NAZA) it throws everything out of whack. I have not tried hooking up X1 or X2 for manual gains yet because I couldn't get the 5th channel to work.

Anyone have suggestions as to why everything works fine 1-4 but when the 5th channel connects it throws everything off? I would really like to use this tx once I get a GPS but I can't unless I get that switch modes to work.

Dinked up receiver or TX ??? Try plugging a spare servo into that channel and see if it behaves itself per TX switch position. If so, it's a deeper issue. If not, either the receiver or TX is jacked on that channel some way or another.

Hi Electro,

From what I have been hearing the Naza is the problem. I have since broken down and bought an FrSKY 2.4 ghz conversion kit for my favorite 72 mhz radio. I was hoping someone figured out how to mitigate that "noise" from the naza. All my channels are now working due to going back and re reading the manual (rookie in me by not double checking).
