DJI A2 mode switch, IOC switch set up problems on a Futaba T8FG Super. HELP!

Hey guys,

Well I had the chance to snag an A2 at an insane price so I took it.
I'm putting it on a nice 800mm rig and I have everything moving along swimmingly.
I bound the Fut TX to the A2 no sweat. I mapped the channels in my TX 1- 4 the normal stuff CH 7 to a 3 pos switch and CH 10 to a 3 way and CH 11 as a 2 way for RTH.
Here's the weird part.

In the Set up assistant, I was able to see channels, and assign them properly.
I can see all the channels moving, and the switches working, but none of the switches will change modes except the Return to home.
To toggle between modes, only the first square will turn blue, and I can not change any of the drop downs in the other mode areas. The curser moves around and even if I adjust the end points to put the cursor in the middle of what should be a blue box I get nothing.

In the IOC area, I can see the switch moving the curser around, and I can select OFF - IOC and POI but they won't turn blue either.

The only one that moves and turns the boxes blue is the RTH.

Any ideas?

I configured my new A2 exactly as per my previous WKM which followed the previous NAZA configuration and all works 100% (keeping in mind that I do not use retract landing gear).
This is how I did it...... Part 1 then Part 2

PS. Flew the A2 on a Hexacrafter HC800 with stock S800 gain settings and it’s pretty awesome.
Very much like a SuperX, and nothing like a Naza.

nice find Sleepy C! typical dji shills..

Sk8bord, I guess you would call me an atypical DJI shill. I am responsible for DJi Forum Support for North America and a DJI employee. What more can I do to help you. I have been active in the MRF for some time now and I am available for assistance. You let me know what you need. SleepyC you know how to contact me if you have an issue.

Tahoe ed- i always appreciated your help on the forums even before you were a dji support guy on here and rc groups! ignore my post count i'm not new into the rc world just wasn't a forum guy till recently but have seen you helping people on various forum's for a while now.... and thats commendable...i meant dji-Shi* nothing to do with you personally. i used shill as a synonym i guess. not sure what exactly is a shill to tell you the truth. i am concerned though when dji releases things that simply don't work. 1st zenmuse hero squealed. 2nd one went to sleep at startup and if i got it working would fall asleep mid flight. the firmware eventually fixed the hibernation mode so all is good now but took months later till i got a product that worked as advertised-old news at this point. Another thing is mac version of a2 not showing when modes were switched as mentioned by op on this thread- Thirdly- several members are having issues with the zen 5dmk3 gimbal not working. there is no remote shutter,no tilt reset in fpv mode and there is horizon drift when panning. There's also smooth panning issues on the gh3's that we talked about on my first day i went on this forum and i messaged you.

i'm in the process of building a rig with a2 and a zen gh3 or a 5dmk3 gimbal. it's a lot of money for me to shell out and if these problems are present i'm not ok with it. When you have distributors emailing people saying "to not send the gimbal back there is nothing we can do it's a firmware problem and you have to wait' like wtf- if i spent 3k on a gimbal that doesn't work isn't that a bit wrong? maybe my morals need to be checked but to me it's un acceptable.

So since you asked:) i need a sorted-mac version working on a2's 100% working and a mac version for naza's not just the p2 naza. i only have a mac and in the past have to barrow pc's for my naza's- which work fine btw i been happy with the naza v1 and 2 but don't have window's on a mac.. i need the 5d gimbals sorted out and everything has to work as advertised asap... my comment wasn't directed to you personally it's directed to the people who ok the product into the market knowing there's issues. i may want an s1000 and stop on my current build but not until the gimbals are sorted. let me know when these things are addressed so i can move forward cause right now i should be flying not being hesitant about if products are going to work or not that i spend money on. The performance from the 5d gimbals stability wise are pretty killer and better then the gh3 imo-i'm not sure why but there is less jelllo on any of the footage i see. i think it's due to the different design of the compression balls on the 5d version compared to the other's. granted it could be all due to craft vibration/props/motor balance- i don't know but the 5dmk3 gimbal looks good stability wise but need to be reassured if things are going to be sorted anytime soon. i also know of someone that is having spectrum control issues on a2's like the rx dropping satts. i have futaba but a solution to the people that don't would be nice. Thanks.

also- if you go through my post you will realize i'm more of a dji fan then a basher so if that's the vibe your feeling it not accurate. i been trying to help people if i have knowledge to do so and have even defended dji from a clear clear dji bashers. i'm a fan of what works period!! dji could be the best out there if they got their stuff sorted with product releases, their designs are commendable . it just sucks for someone like me who wants to use the products but am worried if what i buy will work right or not.
