I'm just waiting for my serial number for DJI to get this all setup, I've also ordered a joystick to see how this all works?

Has anyone used the joystick, good reports or bad, hard to control or great fun...

Just got joystick, maybe a bit harder than I thought LOL. Going to do a lot of simulation before using that baby lol.

I have some experience using Joystick + WKN single way point and 900mhz data link in simulation mode (not yet in real mode). My purpose is to free my TX and RX and use them to control Z15. In simulation it works OK. You should practice and get used to it. I proceed like this. First start the PC and connect the joystick and the data link. Then turn on the multi rotor (only the WKM not ECS’s and motors for the simulation). Since the TX is off the LED only flashes Blue and you do not know in which mode you are and what is the flight mode, GPS, Voltage and …. Status (not until you open the GS and connect). Then open GS software and connect. Now you see Aircraft position, GPS signal and so on but the LED on the multi rotor still blinks only blue (naturally). Enter the simulation mode in the software (read the manual) and from joystick menu choose your Joystick, calibrate it, map channels and now click pause and choose Joystick as the controller and fly. Of course you can also use way points. I am just a bit worried about what happens if I try it in real mode. What if the PC crashes in the middle of the flight? Or internet connection is lost. I did test to disconnect the internet during the simulation and it did not affect the control of the flight. But to start and find the flight location you should have internet connection. If this method is reliable in real mode I think it is more fun and for me I can give away the TX to the camera man instead of investing for another TX to control the camra. If anyone has tried this in real flight please share. Only using Joystick, not the combination of joystick and TX.
