I've got a set of these skids to give more gimbal clearance and landing stability:

But how the heck do I mount the compass?
One possibility is to double mount the new gear on the old but I'd rather not. Or maybe use one of the Simonsays compass mounts? Not sure if the diameter will be right and it will also be forward of its usual position.
Any ideas?
