cinestar 8 and AXI 2814/22 motors mounting issue

Hi,

I am building the cinestar 8 together with AXI 2814/22 Droidworx motors. The problem is that the mounting bracket from cinestar does not match holes at the bottom of the motor. Out of 4 holes I am only able to use 2. Do you think it's going to be enough to hold the bird? Don't want the motors to fly away without the frame once I put some heavy weight under the booms ;-)

Hi Osiris,

the plettenbergs even the 3.2 KG thrust ones are mounted with two screws, but best is ask Rtryder since he has as CS 6 Axi 2814 / 22 setup. Cant believe that the droid worx edition is different.

They are definitely changed...now the distance is symetrical on both sides. Funny is that the leaflet and the manual does not even contain the schematic of this new /22 model...only up to /20. Even the website www.axi.cz has no mention about /22 ones.

Well let's hope they last. Will see soon. Just waiting for Flight Controller as it was missing from the order :-( so I can continue the build.

write to Quadrocopter and get it confirmed that their might be an issue. Maybe they have already done other mounts/plates that fit the DW edition.

We taught we would give u Axi cause the new shipment with MK4 motors was in customs so we didn't want our customers to wait so we replaced them with axi. When we heard about your problem we were suprised that they changed the holes to simetrical. I think u alredy resolved this with Krleas.

First I thought I keep motors just on 2 screws but then I decided to rather ask here on forum, and I am glad I did ;-)

I believe I was sent the correct motors this morning. I hope the Flight Controller which was missing and I reported that earlier was sent to me too.

I checked and your new shipment in on the way. And i am the one to blame for the flight controler. So sory from my side since i was packing stuff late at night and i slipped 2x navi in the box. Will try to do better next time.
I am glad we solved it and that u are so cool about it. We try to solve all mistakles ASAP.
