Camera trick for F450 and NAZA

Someday Finally Got Here
I've tried several of the cheap low resolution cameras on my quad. No gimble. They gave generally poor performance.
I recently got a new smartphone. My old smartphone had a pretty good little camera on it so I make a mount with velcro to mount the old smartphone and it has given me some really good pictures. Zero cost and much better than anything else I've used.

Great Idea!
I went one step farther when I built my disco about a month ago, I went to the local pawn shop and got a cannon power shot sd1100is 40.00 bucks and it has been great:).
works pretty good for a cheapo cam when I put the graupners on it made a world of difference a few shakes here and there.....

I mounted my iPhone to my F450 to record distortion free video. I also used GPS tracking apps to record route of flight, height above ground. I also used an app called Theodolite that records video with an on screen display of heading, GPS, Horizon, altitude information. I have to land to actually see the video overlay, but its good information. I wouldn't recommend putting your phone up I the air unless you have trust in your craft. Also turn off the vibration feature while flying. I mounted my iPhone with the camera facing forward and secured with small bungee cord type bands.
