I own a F450 and finally have it sorted so have been flying about quite a bit. It's always windy where I am and when hovering this makes the onboard video jump about a bit. What I am wondering is if a hexcopter would work better in wind? Was thinking of buying a couple of extra motors, ESCs and the F550 kit to move stuff over to test, but figured people here have possibly already dont it so can compare!
I am mostly interested in attaching a camera and having a fly about more than sport flying. I have read conflicting forum posts online with some people saying the quad is better in wind and some others saying the hex is better! The quad is stable enough in wind to be controllable which is cool, but if the hex is even better then thats even better!
