Alternative Props for DJI F450 Quad

Hi,

I'm flying a DJI F450 with GPS, stock motors, 8" DJI props, Zippy Compact 4S 4000mah batteries, carrying GoPro hero 3 Silver edition.

I'm told only to use 8" Props and not 10" with 4s batteries, I imagine this is because you would get too much thrust from the 10" with the 4s batteries? and it would be difficult to control?.

Can anyone recommend 8" props that will fit the DJI motors? can you get graupner props in 8" that will fit DJI motors and is there a prop balancer available that suits the DJI props?

any thoughts or tips on this would be gratefully received

It overloads the motors, if the props get too large.
The Graupner 9x5 props are just OK.
In fact quite a few people have run even larger props, provided you are a bit less than heavy handed, it can be OK, but there is an obvious danger here.....
However the model can become quite hard to control, with the 'hover' point on the throttle well under 50%.
APC, do a normal/pusher versions of their 8*3.8 propeller that works well.
Efficiencies though are generally somewhat lower than running a larger prop, and going 3s, or switching to a motor with a lower Kv rating.
