Alternative Powering AVL58 Video Receiver

Has anyone tried powering their receiver with anything other than the normal 11.1 volt battery? I'm looking to hook the receiver up in my truck to my rca jacks and it would be nice to just use the truck power.. I have USB, cigarette lighter and normal house plugs..

I power mine off the iOSD MK II.

This is the video receiver, not likely you can power this of the IOSD.

Should be no problem powering if off your truck, a cigarette lighter socket will work fine providing your truck is 12V

yep, the lipo is 12.6 fully charged. just be careful about running the motor cause your alternator should be 14 volts.....

Sorry, I just use a 3S lipo for the ground side of the video down link. A 2200 will last for a long time. It also powers my video monitor.

Anyone having issues with the signal? I have the TX and RX on the same channel and the screen is not continuous.. Feels likes something is interfering..
